Paul Kidney Experience with BUDDHADATTA at Tokuzo on May 22
Prepare for a compelling blend of genre-bending sounds and the meeting of two future civilizations as the Australian psychedelic rock band Paul Kidney Experience teams up with Japan's own BUDDHADATTA for a night of electrifying performances on May 22 at Tokuzo, one of Nagoya's most iconic live music venues.
Paul Kidney Experience: A Sonic Journey
Founded in Melbourne in 2009, Paul Kidney Experience is not just a band; it's a phenomenon. Known for their 100% improvised noise-rock sets, this group has carved a niche in the music world with their raw and unfiltered performances. With core members like Paul Kidney and Don Drum from Fraudband, the band has released eight full-length albums, many of which have sold out, including a notable collaboration with Krautrock legend Mani Neumeier.
Their music, reminiscent of The Stooges in their primal stage or imagining Yoko Ono channeling Bon Scott, delivers pure, intense noise-rock that's absolutely unmissable. Celebrating their 15th year, the band arrives in Japan with new material and the addition of special guest members Tabata Mitsuru and Masami Kawaguchi, promising a newly minted yet noisily reminiscent performance.
