Getting Wristy?
Have you been beating your head against a hard concrete wall, getting wristy for some Australian Hard Rock?
If so, this Thursday, March 14, is your chance. Head to Huck Finn, the grimy heartbeat of Nagoya's punk scene, where bands have been coming to unleash their fury on colliding bodies for decades.
In a world where AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, and The Angels are considered the holy trinity of Aussie hard rock, AVALANCHE, Australia's rawest export, has roared out of its downunder bog, carrying the torch with its own searing brand of music.
"AVALANCHE have been making a name for themselves as purveyors of blistering Aussie hard-rock..." says Rolling Stone, hinting at a legacy in the making.
Joel O'Keeffe of Airbourne cuts straight to the chase, declaring, "They're fucking awesome!"
And honestly, who are we to argue?
This week, we are about to get a taste of what they have in store as they storm Nagoya on their first Japan tour. Brace yourselves for their fiery single: 'Hell's Getting Hotter With You'
If that title alone doesn't warn you of the impending heatwave, the live experience may burn you.
Expect an event that promises to be a riotous, rock-fueled inferno.
I hope!
But you be the judge.
Who Are AVALANCHE?
Hailing from Western Sydney, AVALANCHE is a quartet that epitomizes the spirit of Australian hard rock. Born in a steel factory in 2018, these lads have quickly ascended from humble beginnings to share stages with Buckcherry and Fozzy, not to mention Aussie legends Rose Tattoo and L.A. band The Iron Maidens.
With an arsenal of new music set to drop in 2024, produced by the Grammy-nominated and ARIA award-winning Steve James, AVALANCHE is not just riding the wave of Aussie rock; they're the riptide pulling everything else in their wake. Strewth!
Lineup
Joining the fray at Huck Finn are Viva La Thrash, Hemispherical, and Board, rounding out an evening that's not just a concert but a pilgrimage for the hard rock faithful.
Pro Tip:
Huck Finn is where you go to lose your hearing, some limbs, or just for the pre-hospital warm-up.
The Buzz:
Hype-aside, any chance you get to see an Aussie band face a crowd at Huck Finn – take it. Either they hate the crowd, or the crowd hates the band – or you simply can't fucking tell because you are engrossed in the inevitable tragedy on display.
