Your participation is crucial, as the results will determine the 21 delegates Democrats Abroad sends to the Democratic National Convention in August this year.

This year, the Democrats Abroad Global Presidential Primary (GPP) ballot includes:
- Joseph R. Biden
- Marianne Williamson
Eligibility to Vote:
To vote in the Democrats Abroad Japan's (DAJ) Global Presidential Primary, you must:
- Reside in Japan and be a U.S. citizen.
- Be a member of Democrats Abroad.
- Be 18 years old by November 5, 2024.
Register Online in Advance if You Want:
Membership in Democrats Abroad is free; same-day registration is available at the voting center. You can also Register Online.
Important Voting Information:
- Choose Wisely: You can vote for President in only one primary - either in the DAJ primary or your U.S. state's primary. However, voting in the DA presidential primary still allows you to vote for other races in your state’s primary elections.
- Request Your Ballot: Request Your Ballot: The first step is to request your absentee ballot from VotefromAbroad.org or DemocratsAbroad.org. This ensures you're registered to vote for any 2024 election in your state.
Can't Make it to Nagoya?
No problem! Remote voting is available from February 13 to March 12. If you've registered with Vote From Abroad this year, simply request your ballot to be sent by email or postal mail and return it the same way. Check your inbox for an email from Democrats Abroad sent on January 20th with a personalized form to request your ballot.

The success of the Global Presidential Primary in Nagoya depends on volunteers. We are looking for volunteers in various roles, including greeter, voter registration assistant, and ballot distributor, among others.
