Centrair, the main airport serving international flights into Nagoya and the Chubu region, is located roughly 35 km outside of the city on a purpose-built island.
Shopping and Dining
On the 4th floor, "Sky Town" has an impressive selection of restaurants and shops. It has two different themed streets: Chochin Yokocho (authentic Japanese) and Renga-dori (Western).
These areas have everything from traditional Japanese crafts and items to clothes and bags, making them perfect for last-minute souvenir shopping and Nagoya specialty dining.
The Sky Deck
Travelers who want to get outside for a walk can head to the Sky Deck to enjoy panoramic views of the runways.
The Access Plaza
The Access Plaza links to the passenger terminal's 2nd (arrival) and 3rd (departure) floors. This plaza is the main point for transferring ground, rail, and sea transport.
Access By Rail
Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu) trains connect the airport to Nagoya city and beyond. The airport train is convenient and inexpensive. The μSky Express has special-purpose storage areas near the entrances for large luggage. As your seat may be located some distance from your belongings, do be mindful, as there have been incidents of theft.
Depending on your train, the journey from Centrair to Kanayama Station or Nagoya Meitetsu Station takes 24 to 37 minutes.
Train Types
The μSky Express requires an additional "μticket" (¥360) for all seats.
The Rapid Limited Express has First-class cars which require an additional "μticket" (¥360)
Seat reservations are made when you purchase a μticket.
