NAGOYA BUZZ is a fresh chapter from the people who brought you THE ALIEN Magazine, JapanZine, and NAGMAG.
Spring is... almost here!
Upcoming Events
March 22: Lenguas Largas
Pro Tip:
Tsurumai Flam is a compact space for such a big sound. Expect the band to strum out a blistering array of their sonic landscapes.
The Buzz:
Each of Lenguas Largas's gritty anthems – from their punk roots to the hypnotic grooves of their more experimental stuff – is a testament to the band's fearless artistic vision.
March 24: The TCJS Hanami
Pro Tip
Be sure to bring your Toque. Spring is a time of changeable weather.
The Buzz
Want to enjoy Hanami but aren't eager to make it a medical event? This isn't a gong show. It's relatively safe. After all, they're Canadians!
March 28: The Osukannon Antique Market
Pro Tip:
Want to score a deal? Pray for rain — not a torrential downpour, mind you, but a gentle drizzle to thin out the crowds. With fewer bargain hunters vying for attention, vendors are more likely to entertain your offer with a nod and a wink.
The Buzz:
Every August 8th, the temple hosts the annual Hahazuka Kuyo (a memorial service for teeth). Bring in your used dentures and baby teeth and have them rest on the tooth mound on the temple grounds.
Some people have this kind of time on their hands.
March 29: The HAMJAM
Pro Tip
Come ready to gig out with fellow-minded creatives and musicians. Bring whatever you do and whatever you do it with!
The Buzz
One of Nagoya's most reliable go-to events, the HAMJAM, is "A jam that's cute and energetic, but you have to be careful, or it'll get out of control."

Pretty in Pink: Time for Hanami
Pro Tip
Save your spot early - especially on weekends or sunny days. Buy your drinks and snacks before you get to the park - vendors might not be there, or if they are, the selection may not be to your liking.
The BUZZ
If you miraculously stumble through a tangled mess of shrubbery, crumpled blue tarps, and miscellaneous paper dishes in the dark - without spilling a drop of your can chu-hai...
You are the stuff of legend.
