Sakae Spring 2024!
Sakae Spring, which began in 2006, is one of the largest live music events in the Tokai region. It transforms the vibrant streets around Sakae into a bustling hub of musical festivation. This annual event showcases an eclectic mix of genres, featuring both renowned and emerging artists, making it a must-attend festival for music lovers. With over 300 acts performing across multiple venues, the sheer number of artists is impressively large, offering something for everyone.
Our Favorite Acts
While it's impossible to mention all the acts, here are my ten notable recommendations to catch at Sakae Spring 2024.
NAQT VANE
June 1st from 16:00 to 17:00 at DIAMOND HALL
NAQT VANE (pronounced "nakt vane") are known for their ethereal performances and diverse sound. Their dynamic stage presence and engaging music make them a highlight of the festival.
Awesome City Club
June 2nd from 18:00 to 19:00 at NAGOYA CLUB QUATTRO
Famous for their smooth, retro-inspired city pop, Awesome City Club blends contemporary and nostalgic sounds.
Oral Cigarettes
June 1st from 19:00 to 20:00 at SPADE BOX
Winner of "Best Band Name" for this year's event, Oral Cigarettes are known for their high-energy shows and catchy rock tunes.
MONO NO AWARE
June 2nd from 15:00 to 16:00 at HOLIDAY NEXT NAGOYA
With their unique blend of indie rock, poetic lyrics, and melodic instrumentation, MONO NO AWARE offers up an introspective and moving performance.
TENDRE
June 1st from 14:00 to 15:00 at RAD HALL
This multi-instrumentalist brings a fresh take on R&B and soul. His smooth vocals and intricate arrangements are perfect for those looking for a soothing yet engaging musical experience.
Chelmico
June 1st from 17:00 to 18:00 at TOYS
Chelmico is an all-female hip-hop duo known for their witty lyrics and playful stage presence. Their fun and energetic vibe makes them a must-see act IMHO.
DADARAY
June 2nd from 17:00 to 18:00 at CIRCUS
Delivering a polished sound, blending electronic elements with traditional pop structures, this pop trio's catchy songs and engaging performances are sure to be a crowd favorite.
Kan Sano
June 1st from 15:00 to 16:00 at CLUB ROCK'N' ROLL.
Kan Sano, an accomplished jazz pianist and producer, fuses jazz, modern electronic, and funk influences.
Polkadot Stingray
June 2nd from 20:00 to 21:00 at LIVE & LOUNGE VIO
Runner up for "Best Band Name at Sakae Spring" this year, Polkadot Stingray is known for its sharp guitar riffs and eclectic performances.
The Ghost of Matsubara
June 2nd from 14:00 to 15:00 at TIGHT ROPE.
The Ghost of Matsubara is Nagtown's local favorite, especially among the international crowd. Tom Fallon is respected for his dedication and determination to continuously provide a solid performance of his brand of what I like to call an atmospheric, introspective indie rock sound.
ACROBAT☆SHONEN
June 1 from 12:30 at CLUB ROCK’N’ROLL
This Nagoya pop-punk band is known for capturing happiness in the mundane aspects of life through their distinctive lyrics and catchy melodies. Featuring relatable and whimsical themes, their music adds a playful and uplifting vibe to the pop-punk genre

Ticket Information
Tickets are available online, with options including a 1-DAY PASS for ¥4,200 and a 2-DAY PASS for ¥7,500. Once purchased, tickets must be exchanged for wristbands at the designated locations in Oasis 21, Sakae.
Wristbands - Please Note!
Wristbands are essential for access to all live venues and must be worn at all times during the festival.
