This Gig is Going to be Packed
This gig at Club Zion on Friday, Sept. 6, marks the final stop of the release tour for SHIRAME's first EP, "NEVERLAND," a thirst trap so potent that fans in Japan and across the globe mainlined it directly into their arteries.
The gig also coincides with the 10th anniversary of Osaka's emo-punk soothsayers Riot Junction.
Other bands on the bill include Get Easy, Noel, and Pareja. In addition to live performances, Mippan from Let's Donuts and Daiki from DirtyBox will provide DJ sets.
SHIRAME
SHIRAME is the kind of band that doesn't just play music—they live it, breathe it, and throw it back at you with all the raw, unfiltered energy you'd expect from Nagoya's streets. Formed in 2022, this melodic punk powerhouse quickly carved out a space in the local scene with their electrifying dual male-female vocal lineup, a dynamic that hits like a one-two punch to the gut. Their debut EP, NEVERLAND, isn't just a collection of songs; it's a narrative, a sonic journey that pulls you in and doesn't let go. Each of the six tracks is a piece of a larger puzzle, fitting together to create an experience that feels less like an album and more like the soundtrack to a film that never stops playing in your head. SHIRAME's live shows are where the magic truly happens—where their raw emotion and relentless energy turn every gig into a cathartic explosion that leaves the crowd breathless and craving more.
Riot Junction
Riot Junction isn't just another band from Osaka—they're a sonic force that has been tearing through the city's underground music scene for a decade. With their roots firmly planted in melodic punk, Riot Junction injects every performance with an emotional intensity that leaves audiences breathless. Their live shows are a potent mix of fervent, heart-on-their-sleeve lyrics and roaring guitar riffs that resonate deep within the souls of their listeners.
But what truly sets Riot Junction apart is their ability to tap into the raw, unfiltered emotions of nostalgia and personal struggle. Their music is a cathartic release, a soundtrack for those navigating the turbulent waters of life. This authenticity has earned them a devoted following among fans of the emo-punk genre, making every Riot Junction gig a must-see event for anyone who craves music that doesn't just entertain but also heals and empowers
Noel
Noel is a Tokyo-born melodic powerhouse that's been quietly yet unmistakably carving out their niche since their formation in 2017. Fronted by the fiercely talented Satomi, whose vocals cut through the mix with both power and precision, Noel weaves together the punch of punk, the grit of rock, and the catchy hooks of J-pop into a sound that's as diverse as it is distinctive.
From the get-go, Noel has been a band unafraid to wear its hearts on its sleeves, channeling raw emotion into tracks that resonate on a deep, personal level. Their debut single, Aster, set the stage, but it was with releases like Acacia and Statice that Noel truly began to hit its stride, delivering a one-two punch of intricate guitar work and infectious melodies that leave a lasting impression.
But Noel isn't just about what's on the surface. Tracks like "sikisai" and "Rainy Day" showcase a band unafraid to dive into the complexities of life, wrapping introspective lyrics around driving rhythms and soaring guitar lines. Their music pulls listeners into a sonic landscape that's as expansive as it is intimate.

The Venue
Club Zion in Kamimaezu, is the heartbeat of the city's underground scene. This legendary venue has been smoldering since the early '00s, becoming a hideout where Nagoya's raw energy collides with the loud and the heavy. Zion's all about keeping it real, serving up a gritty mix of rock, hardcore, screamo, and everything that shakes your bones.
With a setup that's more like a close-quarters brawl than a gig, the vibes here are electric. You're right in the thick of it, where the line between the stage and the pit blurs, making every show feel like a wild, communal experience. It's no frills, just pure, unfiltered sound packed into a space about to burst at the seams with every riff.
