Seasonal Health Management
From Summer to Autumn
Universal Pilates is excited to announce an upcoming workshop on "Self-Care Health Management," focusing on tsubo (acupressure points) and moxibustion techniques.
Scheduled for August 3rd (Saturday), this workshop is designed to help participants manage their health effectively during the transition from summer to fall. With instruction available in both English and Japanese, this event is perfect for both local and international attendees.
The "Self-Care Health Management" workshop will cover various topics relevant to maintaining optimal health during the changing seasons. Participants will learn techniques to alleviate common digestive problems caused by seasonal changes, manage and prevent illnesses associated with prolonged exposure to air conditioning, relieve lower back discomfort, and ease throat issues often exacerbated by seasonal shifts.
The workshop will be led by Naoya Oshima, an experienced acupuncturist, representative of Oshima Treatment Clinic, and sports trainer. Oshima is well-versed in traditional Eastern medical practices and frequently conducts tsubo seminars at various locations, including Moriyama Library. His extensive knowledge of movement and health ensures that all attendees will benefit from his expertise. The workshop will be conducted in English and Japanese.
Oshima will demonstrate which tsubo points are effective and how they can benefit one's health. Additionally, the seminar will introduce moxibustion, a traditional technique that uses heated herbs to stimulate acupressure points. Participants will gain valuable insights into how these methods can enhance the body's natural healing abilities.
