The June 18 Nagoya Buzz
As usual, this city has a lot more going on than most people imagine.
Check it out!
3 Bands 7 Bridges
🗓️ June 22 | 📍 Seven Bridges Imaike
Nagoya's music scene is about to get lit! Three of this town's hardest-working local bands—StarKat, The Jerks, and Dragonfly—are taking the stage at Seven Bridges Road, formerly The Plastic Factory.
Boy / Girl Scouts Family BBQ
🗓️ June 23 | 📍 Heiwa Park
Get your family to Heiwa Park for a day of fun, food, and friendship as the Nagoya Boy, Cub, and Girl Scouts invite you to their Community BBQ at Heiwa Park on Sunday, June 23, from 11:00~. This event is a fantastic opportunity for English-speaking families in Nagoya to come together, enjoy the verdant beauty of Heiwa Park, and learn more about Nagoya's scouting community.
Canada Day Celebration!
🗓️ June 29 | 📍 Midtown BBQ
The TJCS Canada Day Party is open to all – TJCS members, non-members, and children. Special pricing is available for kids, and children under five can attend for free, making it a family-friendly event.
The Conder House
Built in 1926, the building was repurposed as The Conder House in 2018. This fine Chinese and Thai restaurant used to be the head office of the Bank of Nagoya. It still features the bank’s vault, now functioning as the restaurant’s restroom.
The Purr-fect Escape
A delightful blend of a café and a cat haven
Hemingway Cat Café is not your average coffee shop. Operated by the nonprofit organization Famille, this cozy café doubles as a sanctuary for rescued cats and a welcoming place to find a cat that bonds with you. If you're a cat lover looking for a unique experience, this is it.
